Facilitator in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion advocating for anti-oppressive spaces.

  • Psychodynamic Psychotherapy : (exploring impact of the past on the present)

  • Culturally Sensitive Psychotherapy : (holding space for cultural considerations such as client’s background, ethnicity, and belief system)

  • Attachment Based Psychotherapy : (explores initial early attachment experience with primary caregivers and how it has impacted client’s relational patterns – serves in supporting client in journey of forming secure relational bonds in adulthood)

  • Person-Centred Psychotherapy : (humanistic approach founded in congruence, unconditional positive regard and empathy aimed at supported client to achieve their fullest potential- ‘self actualisation’)

  • Body-Based Approaches : (mindfulness, polyvagal theory aimed at regulating the nervous system)

  • Internal Family Systems Informed Psychotherapy : (effective in trauma work – involves exploring different ‘parts’ of one’s system in an effort to understand one’s inner self and work towards being ‘grounded’ in our being of Self energy)

MISSION

My mission is two fold:
As a psychotherapist I aim to support individuals on their healing journeys of trauma, eating disorders, racial and/or cultural identity, anxiety and depression.
As a facilitator for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, I work on challenging systems in an effort to co-create more inclusive mental health spaces in which people feel seen and heard inclusive of gender, sexual orientation, race, faith-based beliefs, developmental and acquired disabilities.
